They recently reunited after taking a temporary break from their marriage.
And Michael Douglas is candidly discussing his hopes for the future of his relationship with Catherine Zeta-Jones.
'I hope to resolve my marriage in a positive fashion,' he tells GQ magazine in a new interview.
A US report said that Douglas recently announced the news to his friends, with the report stating that he 'couldn't be happier; and 'he was overheard saying they have reconciled.'
And during an appearance on The Jay Leno show, the Romancing The Stone star said talks between himself and Catherine have been going well. ‘Good I hope. I’ve been away for a while but everything should hopefully be on the up and up,' he said.

And the star, who has won two Oscars, two Golden Globe awards, an Emmy says he thinks Hollywood has 'always underestimated' him.
The 69-year-old veteran star said he felt his peers felt surprised by his tour de force performance as flamboyant musician Liberace in HBO's Behind the Candelabra.
'I've always felt a little underestimated, personally,' he said. 'I've got a pretty good batting average over forty years. Sometimes maybe it looked easy.'
Douglas appeared alongside Matt Damon in the made-for-HBO film which saw both actors receive Emmy nods.
'I'm actually taking a sort of joy, a revengeful joy, in the fact that all the studios turned it down,' said Douglas. 'To me it was just a reflection of how constipated and conservative the studios have become.'
