Mr. Mohammed Bello-Koko has been appointed as the substantive Managing Director, MD, of the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, by President Muhammadu Buhari.
In May 2021, Bello-Koko was named acting Managing Director following the suspension of the then-MD, Hadiza Bala Usman, for alleged corruption-related actions.
Bello-Koko previously served as the Authority’s Executive Director, Finance and Administration.
According to a statement signed by Eric Ojiekwe, Director, Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Transportation, the appointment is effective immediately.
