Teenage stowaway gets scholarship from Edo State Governor

I'm sure by now you all know who Daniel Oikhena is. Daniel and the the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, George Uriesi (pictured right) paid a courtesy visit to Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole yesterday Wednesday Sept. 11th.

Governor Oshiomhole said the government will support Daniel by sending him to one of the top schools in the state. He said:

“Without meaning to encourage anyone else, we decided to support him by sending him to one of the top secondary schools in Edo State that is owned by the Government. The reason for opting for a boarding school is that we think that there is need to closely watch him which his parents could not do. He is an intelligent young man with uncommon challenges, but one that has a vision. We had him examined by people who should know and the result confirmed that he is normal"

Gareth Bale made his first appearance following his world record-breaking move to Real Madrid.

Welcome back: Gareth Bale's first steps on the pitch after his move to Real Madrid... but he couldn't save Wales
Gareth Bale made his first appearance following his world record-breaking move to Real Madrid. But that was all Wales had to smile about after the Cardiff City Stadium crowd were lifted off their seats just once to laud one of their own.
Although Bale clearly played within himself after his 58th-minute introduction, it looked as if  neither the foot nor the groin strain which have curtailed his preparations so far will affect his expected debut for Real Madrid this weekend.
He did more in the final half-hour to trouble Serbia keeper Vladimir Stojkovic than the rest of his team-mates put together as Wales were comprehensively outplayed.

Ex-militant Tompolo Buys A Private Jet

For those who haven’t heard, 43 year old ex-militant, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (aka Tompolo) on Monday 26th August 2013 received his LearJet 60SE produced by Canadian aerospace company Bombardier. The Jet according to aviation sources cost a whopping sum of $13.3 million (N2.12 billion).

The aim of this article is not to rubbish the person of Tompolo, [what is there to rubbish anyway] but to address inter alia; the scenarios that continue to play out in favour of his ilk, institutions and systems that perpetually endeavour to make his likes overnight celebrities. I would also analyse the opportunity cost of his latest toy.
