Suspected Terrorists Kill Chief Medical Director, Traditional Ruler In Bauchi

A senior Nigeria Army officer in Bauchi State has confirmed to SaharaReporters that four suspected terrorists wearing military uniforms last night struck in the state and killed a top medical doctor and a traditional ruler.
The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, identified Dr. Musa Mohammed, the Chief Medical Director of the Federal Medical Center in Azare, and the District Head of Yame, as the two victims.

The source said the suspected terrorists stormed the area around midnight.  They first killed the doctor before going to the palace where they gunned down the District Head and made away with his mobile phone.
The entire Yame District, according to our source, has been in tension and confusion as armed military and police personnel comb the forest area in search of the suspected militants’ hideout.
